Status

This column indicates the believed legitimacy of each Kickstart ROM image. Each color-coded indicator is used to highlight the ROM's integrity:

Good: This ROM image has been confirmed by at least one (preferably two) independent source(s) with direct access to the original Kickstart ROM image. If a particular image has a status of "Good", you can rest assured that it is genuine and original. This is analagous to the "[!]" designation used by the Good tools and TOSEC.

Bad: This ROM image is known to be a bad dump. This is analagous to the "[b]" designation used by the Good tools and TOSEC.

Hack: This ROM image is known to be a hacked ROM image. Where possible, detail is provided in the notes column to indicate specifically what data or code has been modified. This is analagous to the "[m]" designation used by the Good tools and TOSEC.

Unknown: This ROM image has not yet been confirmed as genuine, a bad dump, or a hack. Further research may be required to determine its true nature. This column is also universally used to indicate that little is known about a particular Kickstart ROM and that no sample is currently available for study.
